Identity in the age of spin

WHO ARE YOU? In the age of spin, do we base our identity on what we feel, on what others think of us, on what we achieve, on our genetic personality, on our choices, on our vices and virtues? Do we derive identity from the groups to which we belong? Am I overthinking? Isn’t it just obvious? And why are we so driven to firmly insist (when others misunderstand us) “No, THIS is who I am, not that!”
